She is the candidate for the BC Liberal Party for the riding of False Creek. Many special guests were in attendance: Premier Gordon Campbell, Solicitor Wally Opal, past Mayor of Vancouver Philip Owen and potential candidate for the BC Liberals in the Vancouver-Fairview Riding bi-election Rick Peterson. Overall it was a great event.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Switching gears, my website for Alter-Ego Marketing Group (&lt;a href="http://www.aemg.ca/"&gt;http://www.aemg.ca&lt;/a&gt;) has been updated. It's a little more user friendly and easier to navigate. Please take a look at it and let me know what you think. Even if you don't know me personally I welcome your opinion. We should have figured out these green issues by now. I shouldn't have to feel guilty for living the life I am used to and I blame government in general for it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Why as a society have we not applied more upward political pressure? I think that we need to hold our government reps accountable. It has been proven time and time again that if we (society) all pull on the rope in the same direction significant technological advances can be achieved quickly. Perhaps this is a poor example, but look at the massive advances that were made during a few years in the Second World War. For significant change to happen, government needs to create the appropriate environment through policy. I'm looking for leadership, are you? Usually on this day and at this time I'm a little nervous and even more excited. The first Sunday in May is the day that a little over 6,000 highly trained people get up at 5am and run 42km. Tomorrow is the Vancouver International Marathon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm in Alaska, which means the race is out of the question for me, but everyone that is running it will be in my thoughts tomorrow. While running is a big, scratch that, huge part of my life, so are a lot of other things: family, work, politics, spirituality and [insert cliche here].
